We strongly believe that traditional orthodontics initiates treatment far too early in childhood. Adolescent treatment for females should start about age 14. For males the ideal age is approximately 15. These age groups allow for Biologic Orthodontic therapy to be finalized about the time the temporomandibular joint (jaw joint) is finished developing. Since our goal is to have a balanced tooth position to jaw joint position during and after therapy, it only makes sense to start treatment during a child's adolecent years.
